Adjustments in the phytogeographic delimitation of Cuban districts. III. Eastern Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
The schemes of Cuban phytogeographic districts are analyzed in relation to the influence of physical-geographic factors (orographic and lithological basically) on the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environment, in addition to other cartographic sources and the spatial analysis of Cuban databases. As a result, the boundaries of the phytogeographic districts delineated by Samek, Borhidi and Muñiz, and Del Risco and Vandama for the Eastern Cuba were adjusted, and thus achieve better integration with the databases and layers of environmental information that are being generated in the country.
